Radcliffe fires on 24 October; Ramsbottom, Greenmount and a free Heaton Park display all run on 7 November. Times, ticket prices and parking for each one.

Three Bury borough displays now have a 2026 date, and all three are selling tickets. Just over the border, Manchester City Council has confirmed a free display at Heaton Park on Saturday 7 November, the closest free show for Prestwich and Whitefield.

Updated 3 October: Manchester City Council has named Heaton Park as one of three free displays on 7 November, and Ramsbottom Cricket Club has published its 2026 timings (gates 4.30pm, fireworks 7.45pm, no car parking).

Bonfire Night itself is Thursday 5 November. Nothing in the borough is held on the night. Prestwich Golf Club, which has run a display in past years, still had nothing listed when we checked on 3 October.

Every date, time and price on this page comes from the organiser’s own listing. None of it comes from last year’s posters or from aggregator sites. We first published this page on 5 September, when only Ramsbottom had a date. Greenmount and Radcliffe have both announced since, and Ramsbottom has opened its box office.

Radcliffe: the first one, and the cheapest early

Radcliffe Cricket Club goes first, on Saturday 24 October, two weeks before Bonfire Night. It is a themed fireworks display set to music rather than a bonfire. The club’s Ticketebo listing gives the venue as The Racecourse, Radcliffe Cricket Club, Unsworth Street entrance, M26 3RF, with gates at 5.30pm and the display at 8pm. There is a fairground, food, a bar, stalls and a DJ.

Early bird prices, each plus a booking fee:

  • adult (16 and over) £8, plus 40p
  • child (15 and under) £3, plus 15p, and not valid without an adult or family ticket
  • family (two adults and two children) £20, plus 99p

The listing’s overall price range runs from £0 to £24, so standard prices after the early bird period are higher. The club has not published when early bird ends.

Ramsbottom: 4.30pm to 11pm, sold out last year

Ramsbottom Cricket Club’s display is on Saturday 7 November at Acre Bottom, off Bridge Street, BL0 0BS. The club’s box office lists the event from 4.30pm to 11pm and is selling three ticket types:

  • adult £7, made up of £6 plus a £1 booking fee
  • children under 16 £5, made up of £4 plus a £1 fee
  • family ticket, two adults and two children under 16, £19.50, made up of £18 plus a £1.50 fee

Buy early. The 2025 event sold out on every ticket type. The Visit Ramsbottom listing adds that the display is followed by the band Naked Stereo.

On 22 September the club published its 2026 event page: gates open at 4.30pm and the fireworks start at 7.45pm, with a DJ, a funfair, food and drink stalls and first aid on site. It asks people not to bring their own fireworks, sparklers or alcohol. The 2026 page gives no time for lighting the bonfire; the club’s 2024 information page had it at around 6.15pm. Entry is by ticket only.

Parking is the catch at Ramsbottom

The club is blunt about it: “There will be no car parking available on the night,” its 2026 page says. Its older information page allows a drop-off at the gates for disabled or special-needs guests and nothing more. Acre Bottom sits just off Bridge Street in the middle of Ramsbottom, so the town centre car parks and the streets around them absorb several thousand people on the night.

The East Lancashire Railway runs into Ramsbottom station, a few minutes’ walk from the ground, but it does not normally run late evening services, so check its timetable before relying on it. Bury’s council car parks and their tariffs are on our parking in Bury page.

Greenmount: the 55th year, £6 and £2

Greenmount Scouts hold their family bonfire on Saturday 7 November, the same night as Ramsbottom, at Canon Lewis Hall on Longsight Road, Holcombe Brook. The official event site calls it the 55th annual display and gives the timings as gates 6.30pm, bonfire lit 7.15pm, fireworks 8pm, with stalls, games and refreshments through the evening.

Tickets are £6 for adults and £2 for under-16s. They are sold three ways:

  • online through the event site
  • over the counter at Greenmount Butchers on Vernon Road
  • on the gate on the night, subject to availability

The scouts recommend buying in advance. Admission is ticket only, and the rules are no private fireworks, no sparklers and strictly no alcohol on site. The money raised funds the scout group.

Prestwich: nothing published

Prestwich Golf Club on Hilton Lane sells its events through Fatsoma, and its organiser page listed no upcoming events on 3 October. The club’s own description on that page says bonfire night is one of the public events it runs, so it is worth checking back in October rather than writing off.

Road closures: none published yet

None of the three organisers has published a road closure or a parking plan for the night, and the only parking statement any of them makes is Ramsbottom’s, that there is none at the ground. Temporary closures for events are usually made in the fortnight before the date. If one is made for any of the three nights, it will appear on our Bury roadworks and travel page, which we update through the autumn.

What Bury Council does, and does not, run

The council does not organise a borough firework display, and it has not for years. Its newsroom carries dozens of stories tagged Christmas and no bonfire tag at all. Do not wait for a council announcement. The displays here are run by two cricket clubs, a scout group and a golf club, and each announces on its own website and social feed.

Heaton Park: free, Saturday 7 November

Manchester City Council’s free park displays are back for the first time since 2019. Its announcement of 15 September names three parks, Heaton Park, Wythenshawe Park and Platt Fields Park, all on Saturday 7 November. Each will have two displays:

  • a reduced-noise, low-impact display at 5pm, aimed at families with young children and people with SEND
  • the main display at 8pm, preceded by a family lantern parade

The council says each park will run lantern-making workshops in the weeks before, and that further entertainment will be announced “in the coming weeks”. It has not yet said which gate to use, whether there is parking at Heaton Park on the night, or whether any roads close. Heaton Park sits on the Bury-Manchester border, right next to Prestwich, so for readers in Prestwich and Whitefield it is the nearest free show, and it is on the same night as Ramsbottom and Greenmount. Trams, car parks and what is still to be confirmed are on our Heaton Park fireworks page.

What to do now

  • Want it free? Heaton Park, 5pm or 8pm on 7 November. No ticket has been announced.
  • Cheapest ticketed display? Greenmount, at £6 and £2, or Radcliffe’s early bird prices while they last.
  • Want a bonfire as well as fireworks? Ramsbottom and Greenmount both light one. Radcliffe is fireworks only.
  • Going to Ramsbottom? Buy now, it sold out last year, and plan to arrive without a car.
  • Everyone: all three Bury borough displays are ticket only, and none of them lets you bring your own fireworks or sparklers.

More things to do across the borough are on our things to do in Bury page.
